This is probably ridiculously specific for this forum, but if anyone here happens to be in Belarus and is fixing up a place, maybe this will save you some digging.
We've been doing some renovation work recently and somehow the ceiling turned into one of those things you start researching for ten minutes and then suddenly you've got twenty tabs open.
I found this ceiling renovation page while looking at different options. Nothing revolutionary, but it helped me understand a few of the basics and gave me some ideas about what to check before actually starting the work.
In our case, spending a little more time figuring things out beforehand definitely paid off.
Happy to share more if anyone's curious. We did a decent amount of the kitchen renovation ourselves too, so I can go into what we DIY'd, what actually worked, the mistakes we made, and how the rest of the project went.
